MTA (Monthly Treasury Average)

The MTA is the most widely used Option ARM loan index. The Monthly Treasury Average (MTA) is the 12 month average of the monthly average yields of U.S. Treasury securities adjusted to a constant maturity of one year. It is calculated by averaging the previous 12 monthly values of the 1-Year CMT. The values are calculated by us using the H.15 Federal Reserve Statistical Release data. Historical Data: Mortgage-X compiles historical values for the indexes which are widely used on adjustable rate mortgages (ARMs).
